Day Two of The Madras Gymkhana Club Junior Golf Championships-2008 started in overcast conditions with the overnight rain making the conditions soft. However, the clouds lifted and Prashob Nair found the conditions to his liking. With a round of 5 over 75 -- the best round of the tournament -- Prashob climbed up the leader board and won with a comfortable margin of 5 strokes over Syed Saqib Ahmed who had a better outing of 80 compared to his first day 89.
Overnight leader Yashas Chandra shot 83 which was better than his first day 88 but it was not enough. Congratulations to Prashob Nair for his first win and may he win many more.
In Category B Syed Saqib Ahmed won by two strokes over Yashas Chandra and Siddhanth Pai came from behind to third position.
In Category C Shivnaren Srinivasan proved that he is head and shoulders over the field when he won by a margin of 11 strokes over Karan Arjun.
Category D was won by Surya Kumar by a margin of 15 strokes and Harshath.B from Neyveli was second.
The final results are being posted seperately.
